Objectives
Acquisition of the theory and practical skills needed for High Purity Pipefitting in the pharma and semi-conductor Industries.

Course content
Instruction to work to the required safety standards.
Walk through and introduction to high purity pipe work fittings.
Pipe cutting, facing, and prepping requirements.
Purging using correct procedures for high purity pipe fittings before welding.
How to install VCR gaskets and correct tightening technique and using the correct tools.
Measuring out, Isometric drawing and P&ID.
Manual Pipe bending of small-bore pipes I/4”and ½” diameter.
Pipefitting in simulated site-conditions and installation on uni-strut supports using Cush clamps.
Correct use of bored unions to join pipes together prior to Orbital welding.
All bagging and end capping protocols, and the importance of purging lines whilst fitting the work pack.
Introduction to Orbitalum Orbital Welding Equipment.
Writing QA protocols.

Assessment and Certification
